Holiday STRESS Got You Down?

Indian Stream Health Center's
Women’s Health Program had an evening program on:
December 8, 2011
from 6pm-8pm in the Community Room.

Typically the holiday season can be a very stressful time in a woman’s life. ISHC provided guests with tips to guide them through a “Stress Free Holiday Season”. Light, healthy refreshments were provided.

The evening was introduced by Dr. John Fothergill who discussed healthy living and osteoporosis. Greg Lamm followed with Stress Management and how to relieve stress during these tough times. Wrapping things up was Francine Bigney talked about heart healthy eating, and some yoga and exercises that encouraged participants to stay on track during the holiday season and even after the holidays.

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that women with low income can receive free screening for breast and cervical cancer through New Hampshire's "Let No Woman Be Overlooked" Program and Vermont's "Ladies First" Program?   Come visit the lower level of the health center to receive some free goodies, and information about the program.

Taking simple steps toward a healthier life will make your life longer and happier. Indian Stream Health Center, in collaboration with the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, is providing a comprehensive women's health program that focuses on preventive care, including screenings and education for optimizing your health based on the age group you are in.
